Who we are, where we are and how we roll
Distorted was born from a mutual love of surfing, travelling and photography.
We found a way to integrate these elements into our everyday lives, whilst still managing to get some serious work done.
Our photography roots came from humble beginnings, taking turns shooting each other from the beach or out in the water – constantly pushing ourselves in our surfing and photography. Whether it was to do the best turn or take the best shot – individually we wanted it, now as a team we make sure we do it, capture it and share it. We apply this mentality to everything we do at Distorted.
With our base in Woolacombe for the majority of the year, every winter we look to escape overseas in search of warmer climes, new waves and inspiration. In the gallery section you can see a range of shots from near and afar showing how we live, eat, sleep all things extreme, capturing the shots, and creating funky designs to a soundtrack of banging tunes. This is an insight into some of the experiences we’ve had that help us create diverse designs, steer away from the standard and push boundaries, personally and now as a company.
At Distorted we feel if you’re enjoying what you’re doing, it’s not really like work - this is what helps us to keep everything we do fresh. With this always in mind, our work ranges from event photography to web design; surf school photography to clothing design – whatever it is, we’ll put the time in creating and capturing the moments that matter…
